What are the best brand of contact lenses? |
I've been wearing contacts for years now and have gone through several different brands, and can't seem to find one that works well enough for me. I have an astigmatism in one eye. My problem is that my contacts ALWAYS get cloudy after only a couple hours of wearing them, and they get dry easily. I change them every two weeks like I'm supposed to. Has anyone tried acuvue oasys? What kind would work best? Acuvue 2 is my fav or a night and day monthly lense called Focus Night&Day. In my experience oasys and hydroclear actually made my lenses foggier than normal. I have the same problem that you do. If you are using the express no rub contact solution you should switch to Clean care which is a brand that you put your contacts in a weird basket like contraption with the liquid and wait 6 hours for it to clean them. At your next eye visit ask for it and your Doc will most likely give you a free set of solution and the case. Its used for people who tend to build up a lot of protein, thats why the contacts are getting cloudy. The day and night 30 day lenses I've been using lately don't cloud up nearly as much as lenses you have to take out everynight. The first few days they kinda hurt but you get use to them and learn to love them. Red eye relief drops work good too when your lenses hurt, better than rewetting drops in my opionion. Good Luck! i would suggest acuvue hydraclear. it may cost more but its worth it. I have asigmatism and use acuve advanced with hydroclear. They're really nice. |
