When should I wear my glasses?

i am 16 and have a astigmatism and my mum says you will live without wearing them

Your mum isn't helping much.

Certainly wear them if you have headaches, and any other time you have trouble seeing.

As you grow, you'll just need them more and more.

I had glasses from when I was 5 to when I was 16 (when I stopped). In my 20s I started having headaches and trouble concentrating. I got an eye exam and pretty much have worn my glasses constantly ever since.

Listen to your instincts. I think you're right and as a parent I know your mum is wrong. If a child needs glasses, the parent should ENcourage it, not DIScourage it.

Do what you think is right, and needed.

always if you want to see clear again without your glasses. especially when your feeling dizzy.

whenever your eyes are open...

thats one you should ask your eye docter next time you go in however definatly in class, watching tv, on the computer and dont strain ur eyes looking at somthing you definatly cant see unless u squint
