How serious does your eye prescription have to be before you get blind? |
for astigmatism Having an astigmatism will not make you blind. A lot of people have astigmatisms. As long as you can have an eye prescription and still see, then you will be fine. Being legally blind means that you cannot see even with the help of a prescription. the actual definition of legally blind is seeing worse than 20/200 in your best corrected eye. becoming legally blind entails the fact that you can't be corrected to better than 20/200 which let's me assume that it's due to ocular pathology or disease, like retinal problems, kerataconus or a mature cataract. |
