Is this normal w/ new contacts?

This Sunday I just went to get my first pair of contacts. I got the instructions to wear them the first day 4 hours, sencond day 6, third day (which is today) 8 hours, then by Friday I am suppose to be up to 12 hours. I have been getting really bad headaches when I wear them. They are weighted by the way because I have really bad astigmatisms in both eyes. They do feel weird and they seem blurry every now and then...especially when going from a lighter room to a darker room, and when I look a certain way it seems like I catch the outer rim of the contact, which makes it look weird. I am guessing that most of this is normal and it will take some time getting used to. But if you have any tips or if you think this is not normal...any advice would be great! Thankyou!

Give it another day and if the headaches are still around, call your eye doctor.

go visit your eye doctor, there must be something wrong with the lenses or you wear them the wrong way.

I don't think that's normal... I had my first contacts on for 8hours and everything was clear.. I think there's a prob with the curvature of the lens coz you're not suppose to see the rim. Make sure you have an eye-drop handy just in case you feel dry.. Have a check up!

sometimes doctors can give you the wrong prescription... i think headaches are common when the contacts are too strong. Give your doctor a call and ask what he/she thinks, but if it is still blurry and giving you headaches after a week then go back. My contacts never caused me headaches, although my glasses certainly do.
Good luck!

there must be something, because ive worn contacts for 7years and i never get headache bacause of them. i think maybe your contacts are not in the right measurement. visit your oculist soon to find out what happened.

visit the eye doctor and probbaly do not go on the computer for 3 hours and add me to your contacts i added you
