Why would a doctor prescribe someone anabolic steroids-a.s.

I've heard you can only have a.s. if a doctor prescribes them to you. On what grounds would a doctor prescribe them to you?

Anabolic steroids would probably only be prescribed if you have a condition that causes significant muscle loss (like cancer or AIDS), if you're a boy with significantly delayed puberty, or if you have a low testosterone condition that's causing you to develop female characteristics.

There are other kinds of steroids that would be prescribed to prevent inflammation (corticosteroids), but I don't think this is what you're asking about.

They are legitimately prescribed for males suffering from late puberty and also for severe muscle atrophy due to illness or injury.
