Do amputees have their limbs buried first, then wait for the rest of the body? eeeeeww, that's kinda gross to think of!!!! Ha Ha good question perhaps! No they melt the limbs down and make lip stick no. maybe i will take my leg i lost in nam and put it right up your *** I think not. I'm afraid the amputated body parts go in the hospital incinerator. I believe the hospital disposes on the amputated limbs. Often times, the parts are donated to science labs, etc. for teaching purposes. No amputated limbs are usually destroyed! The hospital disposes of them. Medical waste does actually end up in some landfills. no suprisingly some of them end up as medical training aids if you read the form that you sign for the surgery most state that the limb becomes property of the hospital to due with as they see fit I've had 11 surgeries in the last 9 years and that was on the form every time i had to sign ( 4 different hospitals) the rest are required to be destroyed and I just spent the last half hour getting grossed out on how some of this is done but according to the site below 90% are incinerated. I f you want to use a prosthesis (an artificial limb) you must get proper exercises for the stump. If you do not the prosthesis will not fit properly. The decision is up to you. You never really ...
