Is there a chance of getting leg replacement for amputees? |
Is there a chance of getting leg replacement for amputees? If you are talking a human leg replacement - that is still very experimental. Only being tried in certain european countries. If you are talking prosthetics then that is available in pretty well every country. i think so, i heard that u can replace you're legs with robotic ones somehow u control them like reall ones... of course....i know of a guy who had double leg prosthetics and still jumps out of airplanes..... From what I understand about nerves and the way they work, they can't be patched together. There are other technologies used to make prostetic limbs that can move similar to natural limbs. These are using electrodes implanted in the brain to pick signals up the brain sends to stimulate the natural limb to move. They are attached to a prostetic limb controlled by electronic mechinisms to move. There is no feeling but it can move. I don't think it's being used in the public as of today. There is a great range of prosthetics or artificial legs are present in India, you can buy a simple prosthetic or a robotic leg, depends upon your need and financial condition. |
