There seems to be more and more young amputees in this country. Is this a good thing? How on earth could it possibly be a good thing? It means cancer rates are going up, disease rates are going up....it dosen't end. Unless you are a moneythirsty doctor who does amputations, it's not a good thing at all. A "good thing?" How could it possibly be a good thing? No. It's not. But thankfully, prosthetics are getting better all the time. There are a lot of men and women coming home from the Middle East with missing limbs. yes, everyone should try it. this is the dumbest question ever What makes you think that something like this would be a good thing? It's terrible that so many of our young men are coming back from Iraq with amputations. One good thing to come from it though is that prosthetic research has leapt forward. I work in medical equipment and in the past ten years it's like we went from peglegs to cybernetics! I have a client that had a wooden leg two years ago and a stump for the other. Now he has bending knees, titanium legs, and can walk almost as good as me! the reason for more amputees is the increase of diabetes in this country. the obesity situation in America and other countries is causing a drastic rise in diabetes. Diabetes affects the lower limbs and can cause people to have to have amputation. Are you a prosthetic leg? Do you sell prosthetic legs wholesale? No. I am sorry for your loss. |
