Why haven't you had the benefit of occupational therapy? These therapists work with upper extremity amputees and teach a patient how to compensate for the problem, usinfg adaptive equipment and artificial limbs. Ask your doctor for a referral.

They didn't go over this stuff with you in PT?!?!?! Adjustment and daily activities for recent amputees is pretty garden variety stuff.

Hi, there. Try the sites that follow. If you can't immediately find what you're looking for, try searching for "personal care, dressing aids" or similar words. Good luck!

For help with clothing, I would hire someone to sew you special clothing.

I used to be a partner in a sewing company that created normal looking clothing for those with disabilities like yours. We made clothing that was easy on and off, yet they looked just like clothing everyone else was wearing, including name brand clothing. The secret was the use of Velcro, but only the wearer knew that.

speak with your surgeon and look into an independent living center in your area -this is a non-profit agency that provides many services.
