How long does it take for Aderall to start working?

I have tried to find some information but couldn't. My Doctor said that with instant release aderall it would start working within about 30min - 1 hour. I was wondering if it has to build up in your system first.

I am taking 20mg in the AM and 20mg in the PM and have been taking it for 2 days. It is a generic version of aderall. (Amphetamine Combo). Right now all that is happening is my appetite is non existant. (Hope this doesn't last too long).

I will not be going off of it anytime soon.

I did ask the Doctor and all she would tell me was that it was instant release and I should feel the effects within an hour. I am just curious if it varies greatly upon the individual.

Try asking a doctor he would probably know best. Im not trying to sound rude, I just think that of anyone on here your doctor would know best. Just trying to be helpful. Although my friend was taking Aderall and he didnt feel the full effects of it until about a week and a half after he had been takin it...
