Heavy drug use over 20 years and health when detoxed??

My friend started taking i.v. amphetamine at 15 and didnt stop or come didnt come down for 7 years. he also mixed this with heavy crack use and heavy extacy use. he then got on heroin and used that along with everything else until last year when he quit everything. he is strangely very well and healthy, bloods done, scans on kideys etc. will he develop other problems in future even though ok now? will he suddenly just die on me due to this in his past??

Now, don't get all balled up about something you have no control over. Will he die on you? He could be killed in a car accident tomorrow. Or you could drop dead of a blood clot in the brain. (God forbid either happens). But it DOES happen everyday. You know what happens when you have one foot in yesterday and one foot in tomorrow? You're crapping all over today. Stop it and enjoy the moment. He's healthy right now and clean and that's a wonderful thing. Both of you, enjoy.

He is not going to just die on you. If there is no organ damage than he lucked out. It's amazing that there is nothing wrong with him. His system may be weaker, leaving him open for certain problems but he is not going to just drop dead one day.
