If I am 35 and choose not to have an amniocentesis, will I have to sign a waiver at the Dr.'s office?

If I am 35 and choose not to have an amniocentesis, will I have to sign a waiver at the Dr.'s office?

No, no need to sign a waiver. I was offered an amnio when we found out that my daughter has a cleft lip/palate, and I said no thanks.

Any prenatal testing that is optional (amnio, AFP, etc...) is your choice. If you choose not to have it done, it's perfectly acceptable. I don't do the AFP or any of the other tests.
