I need some information on a medically diagnosed condition call"Global Amnesia"? |
Recently this came to my attention and I had never heard of it therefore ALL information may be useful including reference material available in Australia Transient global amnesia (TGA) is sudden, short-term memory loss during which a person is unable to learn new information. The cause is unknown, but some drugs (Lipitor, Mevacor and Zocor, the so-called stronger statins) are now being associated with TGA. If you are experiencing TGA and taking statins, it may be a good idea to talk with your doctor about a change in medication. The Web is full of information on TGA. The following from UCLA Department of Medicine might help answer some of your questions. Check out this website, i think it has what your looking for. |
