Amenorrhea...?

Quick Question:

I have not had a period in about a year and a half. I have seen doctors who have told me that having a period regularly didn't matter. Despite that I have recently stopped running (in middle of 1/2 merry training). I did this due to side effects of amenorrhea which I researched. I have never had an eating disorder and I currently weigh 10 pounds more than I did when I had a period and I am slim, though have never been in the "underweight" caterogory. It has been about a month and a half now.

Question: Just curious, how long does it take for a period to return after ceasing running?

Any help is appreciated.

The time really varies, some people don't start becoming regular for about a year. I would consult an OB/GYN Dr. to address your concerns. Just best to be safe and get checked out.
