Do females who suffer from Amenorrhea have any problems having children? |
Being 21 and having abnormal menustral periods concerns in wondering if I will have problems having children. I started my period at 13 years old but from the beginning I have had 6 months in between having my other period. This year only I have had only one period and have seen a gyn. and everything seems okey. Just waiting for the thryoid test. Please tell me if I should really be concerned as I am wishing to get married in the near future and don't know if to discuss my matter with my future husband. I don't think it should. MY cousin was irregular and she was able to have a baby with out any trouble. But if your that concerned about it why not ask a doctor. I mean what could it hurt. It will be hard for you to have children. Amenorrhea means you don't have a period much at all... you have to ovulate to get pregnant. And if this only happens for you twice a year, you have only 2 chances per year to get pregnant. If you period stops all together, you won't be able to get pregnant. without a period, you will also not ovulate. Your doctor can help you figure out what you are not getting it..and help you :) If you have amenorrhea, then you have a fertility problem because you ovulate and then comes the period. Talk to your fiance about this. If he is OK with this, he is worth getting married to. |
