How do i get my period back after I've been suffering with a 7 month bout of amenorrhea due to excess dieting?

I have not had a menstrual period since January. I am 15 years old, and I was having trouble with exercise bulimia, although i didn't know what i was doing. i hardly ate any fat at all, and i did (and still do) exercise about 5 days a week for an hour or so. after some research i learned that i did need more fat. so i have been trying to incorporate more healthy, non-saturated fats into my diet for about a month now. i am very afraid, and i'm also afraid to talk to my mom about the extent of the problem. i know that it's probably strange for a teenager to be so obsessed with health, but i want to live a long life. my question- how do i retain my menstrual cycle, and will i become permanently infertile? i want to have children so bad someday, i'm praying that i can fix this- i'm trying! please give your suggestions.

a endocrinologist (a reproductive endocrinologist) can help you to re-balance your hormones. You probably need to use progesterone cream. But since you're a teen, I think your cycle will become regular when the time is right, when you recover. Give it a few more months

You need to go see a doc to be sure you haven't done any permanent damage to your body. This is not something you can take care of on your own without getting checked out by your doc.

Once you are fully recovered, your period will gradually return. So take care of your health properly...excersize regularly not excessively.

If you go see a doctor and explain the situation, you can go on the pill.

It will induce your periods artificially, and help with preventing osteoporosis (loss of bone density) until your eating disorder is under control.

The other suggestion is exercise less heavily but that's probably not an option for you right now.
