No period for 9 months. I'm 19 years old.? |
I am 19 years old and I have irregular periods. I went 9 months without having one, and my doctor said its amenorrhea. I am not obese, or anorexic, and there is no possibl way i could be pregnant because i don't believe in having sex until after marriage. I did get blood work done and my hormone levels are normal, and i don't have an infection. I also had an ultrasound but I don't know what the results are. Would anyone know??? I had the same problem. Go to a gynecologist and they can tell you whats wrong. If theres nothing wrong like what happened with me they will probably give you birth control. i keeps your period regular. See site below for one possible explanation that many (incl doctors) do not know about. You have secondary amenorrhea. Your doctor is following the normal procedure and having all the possible test done to you to find out why you have this condition. The ultrasound should give you some answer...good luck The first thing you need to do is call and ask for the ultrasound results. Second since your doc says you have amenorrhea you need to find out what he recommends you do about it. Do not stop until they find the cause. |
