Can someone help answer a medical question for me please? |
I am 25 years old and I have seconday amenorrhea with slight glactorrhea. I started my period today and I have not had one in one year. Since I started my period today Could this mean that I have ovulated at some point and the egg did not get fertilized? If I am at least having a period could this mean that ovulation does occur just maybe not as often as normal females?? I really want to have a child someday. I am hoping and praying that my body will straighten its self out. I am in a similiar situation. I am also 25 and have not been able to concieve in over a year. I found out a few months ago that I have PCOS. I told my dr that I do get a period, so I must be ovulating. She informed me that you can get a period and still not ovulate. She explained it in detail, but I can't quite remember the logistics. Anyways, you can get a period and not ovulate. Just like being on BC and getting a period but the BC causes you not to ovulate. You will need investigations for answers to your questions. Say what may be the cause of sec. amenorrhoea? pelvic examination, blood test to r/o anaemia & other problems, thyroid functions, etc. If you had period, it seems logical that u had ovulated. Good luck, for ttc. |
