Barely spotting after provera?

Back when I had amenorrhea for 6 months, the doctor had me take provera. I barely, barely spotted, which technically meant that it "worked," but after 6 months with no period, shouldn't I have bled a lot more? What caused that?

(I have my period back now).

Oh, and I mean provera (the progesterone pill that induces a period), and not the contraceptive Depo-Provera.

No Provera helps regulate your period, if that makes sense. Once you get it back after Provera it should be somewhat normal. Its the reason you were on it. Also it take a while to go from spotting to normal flow. Give it about 2 more periods and it should be even. Hope this helps!

When you start Depo Provera, you are given it right after your period, so I think that the lining in your uterus doesn't really have a chance to grow back. That's why you don't get your period while your on it. So, once you stop taking it, the amount of blood that will be expelled will depend on how much lining you have. If you get your period right after the 13 weeks, then it probably won't be much.

that is the birth control shot right. well i take depro and ive been on it for around 9 months now and ive had my period once. it lasted forever but it wasnt alot of blood that came with it. i havent had my period since then though
