Is this alzheimer?

can someone please tell me at what age do poeple get alzheimer?..my dad is 56 and yesterday he had all of the sudden forgoten where he worked and what he did in the past hour...and he kept on repeating the same questions to me for about 10 min...he felt so lost ...it was very scary..is this the begening of the alzheimer disease? by the way, he was totaly fine after sleeping for about 30 minutes.

It could be the start of many things and needs investigating so get him to go to his Doctor!
I've never heard anyone say that sleeping a while helped them in fact it's usually the time when confusion and memory loss occurs.

I'd have him see a doctor, just to be on the safe side. It sounds like it could be a minor stroke.

Also, if he's on any medications, temporary memory loss and confusion could be side effects.

Hope he's ok. :)

If you are serious, he could have had a seizure. There are many different kinds of seizures (not just convulsions, which are obvious). Disorientation is common after seizures and people can get sleepy and then be fine after a nap. Get help.

I would get him to the Doc ASAP it doesn't sound like alzheimers but it could be so many other things some even more dangerious.
