Alzheimer's Disease..at age 18?!?!? |
Is it possible to show symptoms of Alzheimer's at this early of an age? I can't seem to remember very important things! I can't remember what I did today, I forget what I am doing while I am doing it, and I cannot remember events that are actually pretty important. I cannot remember my birthday. I haven't forgotten who people are but I sometimes have trouble remembering names or remembering how I know them. I know I am supposed to know them but I can't rememember! To sum it up, I am becoming extremely forgetful, I can never think of the right word to use even though I know so many, I can't explain things too well because I can't seem to explain properly, I can't seem to remember what day it is. Is this Alzheimer's or something else? Also, no I don't drink or smoke pot. XD No way it's Alzheimer's---You'd be the youngest case ever discovered---But it could be some sort of memory problem. Probably minor, so don't panic, but it might be best to bring it up to your family doctor. i would see a doctor about that. i think its pretty rare, if not impossible that someone so young would get alzheimers. it could be something else. definitely not alzheimer's but u should go c a doctor right away.... there could be a million things wrong w/ ur brain that may be causing u 2 forget things.... even a tumor Alzheimer's, not likely but no impossible. At your age I would be more concerned about other diseases like MS or even stroke. You should see a doctor and get some tests. A good way to start is by keeping a journal for 1 week or 2 to really see how much you're really forgetting or if you're just busy and absent minded. Also I'm assuming you aren't using any drugs or alcohol, because if you are that's your problem right there . . .problem solved! Otherwise keep the journal get checked out with your doc. It sounds more like amnesia. Get checked out by a doctor though, but i recommend not going on medication. It will just make you feel worse. Sure your not smoking any pot? It's not Alzheimer's Disease at all - - its clinical depression. go to webmd.com and read about Alzheimer's it can tell you symptoms and etc |
