Alzheimer's and ADHD?

I was wondering if anyone knows links to any research that's been done to see if there's a connection between the two? Since ADHD and Alzheimer's disease both effect around the same area. I'm wondering if we have a higher risk for Alzheimer's or if there's any other kind of link to the two. Please list the links and any knowledge you have. Thanks.

I know that one is inactivity and the other is degeneration; I'm a Psychology major. The question is, is this true: "If you don't use it, you loose it?" I'm currious if research has been done, and what the conclusion was... not two different links that one doesn't speak of the other. I want something that compares them and... well researches them and comes out "No." or "Yes." Instead of explaining the two in terms I already know about. Another way to word this question is: Does ADHD, or lack of activity, increase the risk or even cause Alzheimers?

There is no link. It is believed that ADHD is caused by neurotransmitters in the brain not functioning in the brain correctly and a reduction in activity in the areas of the brain that control activity and attention. It is a condition that is caused by different functioning of the brain and is not a condition caused by physical damage to the brain.

Alzheimer's is a disease that hits the elderly where the brain tissue degenerates. It is a condition where the brain is actually physically damaged.

Just because these two both affect the brain does not mean they are related. These are two very different diseases and there is no connection between the two.
