What system does Alzheimer affect?

what system does Alzheimer affect?for example does it affect the respitory,digestive,circulatory,muscular...
ANSWER THIS QUESTION IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER OTHERWISE IF YOU DONT KNOW AND YOU JUST ANSWERED YOU WOULD BE REPORTED OR SOMETHING BAD.

are you guys all sure that it affects the nervous system the one who answered if so say yes if no say no

in layman's terms-
it is a neurological disorder
which in later stages not only effects the brain but ultimately all the systems of the body because a persons condition worsens he forgets how to eat and chew
can become severely constipated due to inadequate diet and decreased mobility
which leads to less blood flow to the organs
and more susceptible to aspiration pneumonia
so to answer your question it is neurological but ultimately effects all systems leading to death in the last stages

to answer your additional inquiry it is neurological
i should know i run an alzheimer unit and go into any
neurologist's office or neurology magazine and see the literature available you aked a question which is honestly answered why are you so untrusting of the answer?

Hey no need for threats

It affects the CNS (central nervous system). It specifically affects the brain, and more specifically the caudate nucleus (the part responsible for memory mainly and other stuff).

My best wishes for those affected.

Dementia is a brain disorder that seriously affects a person鈥檚 ability to carry out daily activities. The most common form of dementia among older people is Alzheimer鈥檚 disease (AD), which initially involves the parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language. Although scientists are learning more every day, right now they still do not know what causes AD, and there is no cure.
I add a link that contains details about this disease-

It affects the Central Nervous System through brain message centers malfunctioning. The CNS affects the way your bodily organs will respond. This will cause eventual breakdown of all organs in your body because the CNS gets messed up messages and can't interpret them correctly. It is a complicated disease and not easy to treat. There is no cure.

The doctor is correct. Here is a link to discribe more.

Let's work toward a cure!

It affects the brain, which everyone with a half a brain knows (even my father who has Alzheimer's knows something's wrong with his brain)--and pretty much everyone knows the brain is part of the central nervous system.
Asking an easy question and then adding a bunch of threats isn't the way to get a quality answer or make friends.
