what system does Alzheimer affect?for example does it affect the respitory,digestive,circulatory,muscular... are you guys all sure that it affects the nervous system the one who answered if so say yes if no say no in layman's terms- Hey no need for threats Dementia is a brain disorder that seriously affects a person鈥檚 ability to carry out daily activities. The most common form of dementia among older people is Alzheimer鈥檚 disease (AD), which initially involves the parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language. Although scientists are learning more every day, right now they still do not know what causes AD, and there is no cure. It affects the Central Nervous System through brain message centers malfunctioning. The CNS affects the way your bodily organs will respond. This will cause eventual breakdown of all organs in your body because the CNS gets messed up messages and can't interpret them correctly. It is a complicated disease and not easy to treat. There is no cure. The doctor is correct. Here is a link to discribe more. It affects the brain, which everyone with a half a brain knows (even my father who has Alzheimer's knows something's wrong with his brain)--and pretty much everyone knows the brain is part of the central nervous system. |
