Bad short memory lately? Is that how azheimer starts?

Several months ago, i have been forgetting little things, like going to the kitchen, and pausing to remember why i came to the kitchen for. The other day, i paused for few seconds could not remember the name of a co worker that i known for many months. i graduated 3 years ago, but looking back few years, i just cannot focus like i use to, i read, and i cannot concentrate, and need to reread the paragraph one more time. Is this an early sign of Alzheimer (?) i am in my late 30's. i have things going on, lots of changes in my live, but not sad nor depressed, not taking any maedications, totally healthy. May stresses yes. but , realy this memory thing has to stop being bad. if you have a good answer tot his question, please relpy, and thank you so much.

this been happening several time a day,

I doubt it, it is VERY rare to get Alzheimer's at this age, yet still possible but unlikely. I would speak to your family Dr about this and they can do an MRI or CAT Scan to look at your brain. And to be honest, if you had Alzheimer's you wouldn't realize it, they NEVER do. I have worked with theses kind of people for 10+ years. It just sounds to me that you have alot going on in your life and you are stressed. This often causes memory loss.

No this does not sound like Alzheimer's! Just sounds like you might have a lot going on in your life... Happens to me all the time these days. comes w/age! I forgot what my daughters bed was called yesterday...."a crib!" duh! lol.

i think at your age it is probably hormones more than anything else. have you gone through menopause? if not you are probably starting the first stages of this now. also, the more you focus on it the more you will see it. i recommend seeing your gynecologist. good luck!!

Take viatimin E 600 to 800 mg. if things don't improve then call a Dr. Stress can cause alot of this as well as how active you are if you have a lot going on it is only normal for the mind not to keep up limit what you are doing!

whats the question again?

Although early on-set Alzheimer's is possible, it's very very rare. I would suggest your memory loss has more to do with daily stress, lack of sleep or even a vitamin deficiency.

Make an appointment with your regular physician for a couple weeks from now, then start a daily log. Write down every instance of short term memory loss for that day. Then note on there how much sleep you got the night before and whether it was quality sleep or fit-full and restless. Write down the foods you ate and any supplements or vitamins you took. More importantly, rate the day on how much stress you got. Was it a really stressful day or pretty stress free or somewhere in between? Do this daily for the time you are waiting to see your doctor, then take it with you when you see him or her.

Could be there is a pattern between your memory loss and some other aspect of your life. If not, then ask the doctor to check your hormone levels, vitamin levels and for any possible organic problems such as a mild infection.

Good luck!
