Would surgeons ever be able to transplant a whole human head from a donor to a recipient with terminal cancer? |
Imagine a boxing champion with Alzheimer disease and a Noble prize winner with a deadly lung cancer, can surgeons ever implant the head of the first into the body of the second and what would the new person represent legally?? You can never say never. I just guarantee it will not be in anyone here's lifetime. We will have to find out a way to fix the spinal cord first. We can't even repair a damaged one let alone a completely severed one. Interesting question. why would anyone ever wanna do that? maybe one day. first they will need to know how to repair the spinal cord... wont that be great? NO, THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE. That's really weird...hahaha Maybe, if the cancer didn't get to the brain yet. But it isn't a brain transplant, it is really a body transplant. Not in this lifetime. But a better alternative would be to transfer one's consciousness to another, not the head. I guess anything is possible.... But this very highly improbbable if not impossible....Well letsm say we did it... the boxer would still have Alzheimers disease so he would be literally in good shape but unable to hold a con versation... and he would represent a boxer who looks like a guy who won a Noble prize and cant remember it because he ha Alzheimers...
