I saw a commercial on TV about teaching your kids not to smoke.....?

A couple of minutes ago, I saw an ad on tv that was put on by Philip Morris. It was an advertisement that told parents to go to their web site to learn about how to make sure that kids never smoke and how to deal with peer pressure and the dangers of smoking and how bad it is for you. I imediatley thought... if they really cared about people's health, why don't they just stop making cigarettes and quit growing tobacco. We live in a crazy country where these things are legal at all and where something that has been proven to have medical benefits and to not be harmfull is illegal - marijuana. Recent studies have shown that people that smoke marijuana are far less likely to get Alzheimer's disease and lung cancer is very rare from people that smoke marijuana alone. In fact studies have shown that there is a chemical in the plant that actually stops cancer from growing in lungs. I am not suggesting that people drive or go to work after smoking weed but to have it illegal?

All you have to do is look at a smoker say in their 50s or 60s. They cannot stop smoking cigarettes. These people look terrible and they usually look 20 to 25 years older than they are. Vacent dull looking eyes, grey lifeless looking skin and wrinkles everywhere. The cigarette industry is evil.

right which is why it should be on the ballot to actually see what the people think but since there is tampering of ballots and forgerys and people are scared to speak out for the fear of the cowboy mentality trigger happys comeing to a home near you lighting off pop can sized percussion gernades and having poor dogs used to bite you and leave you scared i dont see any compassion laws comeing anytime soon which goes back to stay dependant on forgien energy its the law and keep guzzling because institutions are big business and some fat dude said it needed to be classified as dangerous and dupont dont want there materials being more expensive than what your talking about and its also illegal because of other cultures like poor people indians and people of a minority do it so call your representative and see if they dont send some professional friendly to your house sharing friendly fire judges make big money off it criminals make big money off of it and so do balifs and prosecuters so if its legal noone really makes money off it and lots of people dont have to die each year but that makes to much sense

Cigarettes do not alter perception or your mental state and marijuana does and as far as not causing lung cancer tell you r tale to Julian, Damian and Ziggy Marley their father Bob died from lung cancer

I saw in the news recently that a study showed that when kids see commercials like the one you described, it makes them more likely to smoke. That's the real reason they put them on, not so parents will get their kids to stop.

The tobacco industry is heartless and greedy, end of story.
