Is there any connection between blue eyes and Alzheimers disease?

My son was visiting his grandfather in a home for Alzheimer's patients and he noticed that all the patients there had blue eyes. Is there any connection or explanation? Thank you.

i find it highly unlikely. there is a single gene for the colour of eyes, and this gene is not expressed in the brain at all. so i cant see any way they can be connected.

also, maybe the reason that they all had blue eyes is because people with blue eyes live longer, and are therefore more likely to get it as they are alive longer.

no. coincidence. black people dont have blue eyes, but hey get alzheimers

I've never heard this.

My grandpa was a brown-eyed Alzheimer's patient, so I'm not sure if the eye color is significant, or just a coincidence.

I'm sure it's just coincidental. It could also have to do with the fact that as you age, your eye pigment changes colors. Many older people develop gray or blue eyes even when they had much darker eyes before. All the Alzheimer patients I've known had brownish eyes.
