Help with alternative medicine?

I am tired of going to doctors and their unuseful medicine which dont help me....i want alternative medicine.....with natural medicines .....whats the name of this doctor? where do i find one?

Alternative medicines are usually not given out by doctors or pharmacists, the best thing to do is purchase a book on alternative medicines and learn what people who have been dealing with alternative medicines recommend for certain ailments.
Also some peoples system reacts differently to alternative medicines so you should do thorough research.

holistic.yellow pages or internet

Hi I agree with you, I went to see a local homeopath who is also a herbalist. Just speaking to him made me feel better! There are tonnes of directories on the net if you google "alternative therapy" or "herbalists" etc, but I found mine just through the yellow pages...
Good luck!

Look for a qualified herbalist ( there are many bogus ones out there!), look for one with the initials NIMH, BSc (hons) herbal medicine ( sometimes also phytotherapy) and sometimes they have Dipht after their names too,

The first consultation is generally 1 hour and they ask you everything about your health, lifestyle and diet. The medicines that they prescribe are tailored to you and are prescribed in a holistic manner ( ie they look at your whole body picture and not just the symptoms). The follow ups are usually 30 mins long.

To find a qualified herbalist in your area go to the NIMH
website http://www.nimh.org.uk/ ans select 'find a herbalist', this will give you all the qualified herbalists available in your area.

HTH

There are many forms of original medicine: homoeopathy, aromatherapy, nutrition, acupuncture, foot massage, the stones thing, etc, etc. Each has its positives and negatives. I have seen profound health benefits from changing my diet (nutrition). I had years of very bad depression successfully treated by aromatherapy and I've had a recurrent, and very embarrassing, problem cured completely, to never come back, by homoeopathy. The only problem that you have is finding the best source of help. If you're depressed, find an aromatherapist's number in the phone book. Some are better than others. You also have to realize that some ailments are better treated by your Doctor.

Natropath - deals with your bodys individual needs and tolerances. Homeopath - treats the body and spirit through gentle flower remedies drop onto tiny balls of sugar. Those are the two best that worked for me, really, miracle cures! You can find them in the phone book, but its often best to check out your local message board then you could get recommendation from other local people. And it would cut down on travelling costs because with who ever or what you choose, you'll have to travel regulary to see them, as its a very "hands on" practice.
Good luck, and dont give up. Conventional medicine is over-rated and not nessiarily for everyone every time

I've tried a lot of alternatives &have found homeopathy has worked best, but it is VERY important to find a GOOD homeopath, not just any off the phone book...I think the best way is through word of mouth, however, if that's not an option for you, try the British Homeopathic Association , this is their site:
http://www.trusthomeopathy.org/
On the left, there's a link that says:Members of the Public & then under find a Homeopath, please clik on that & type your area to find one nearst to you.

PS. I'm not saying the other ones are not good, but this one I know won't let me down! for example, massage (swedish or deep tissue) is very good at releasing pent up emotions in the body, etc. depending on what you need at the time,& finding a good practitioner, all of them are good!
