What are the alternative medicine for thyroid cancer?

I have a papillary carcinoma,or a type of thyroid cancer does anyone know any diet or alternative medicine for this?

Chemo is not usually an option for thyroid cancer. Radioactive I131 is administered a few months after your thyroid is removed. The thyroid gland takes up iodine and so do the cancer cells. So by having treatment with I131 you will be killing the remaining cells, The benefits of treatment outweigh the side effects as there are few with I131. You cannot get rid of papillary carcinoma by diet changes or alternative medicine. You must surgically or medically treat your thyroid cancer in order to get better.

There are some alternatives. Currently treatments called BCEC are used all over the world to treat cancer and it drastically reduces the amount of chemo and radiation treatment needed and has the same results as full on chemo/radiation does. Doctors use treatments for cancer that have been shown in scientific studies to be the most effective. Diet treatments and alternative medicines do not have the same scientific studies showing that they are effective.

Alternative medicines sound like they would be a kinder, gentler way of giving a cure, but they aren't. Worst of all they when people use these alternatives they delay treatment that might have been effective if it had been used in the early stages.

If these alternatives worked doctors and insurance companies would be using them. Doctors want their patients to get well.

Well, if you have thyroid cancer you;ll have to have the thyroid gland removed. Ths will make you hypothyroid. If you want an alternative medication try Armour thyroid. It's been around the longest of the thyroid medications. It's natural and most people who switch to it feel better. Links below
