How can I use Alternative medicine to help with Migraines?

I have horrible migraines. I have taken every type of presription medicine possible- none have worked. Usually when I get a headache, we resort to using steroids (which I hate). Is there any way I can use alternative medicine to help prevent or ease the pain of a migraine?

I was told by my chiroprator that Fever Few is a good herbal supplement for Migraines. Also have you had a MRI? Is there are reason you are getting them? Do you have TMJ? There has been a lot of research done on the relationship between the two. I am going in for a MRI Wed. thats why I ask. Mine are very bad. I get one about once a week. Take care.

Visit a doctor. Alternative medicine includes also acupuncture and other non medicinal treatments.
You are talking about steroids. If they are effective to you, then maybe there is an inflammation active.
Sometimes also a food supplement with vit.B complex ang magnesium can be helpful (but not enough for"horrible" migraines).

I have been drinking apple cider vinegar for about 5 months now for my migrains which I used to get on a weekly baisis if not more it must be the kind from health food stores RAW UNPASTURIZED WITH MOTHER I have not had one migrain I some times can feel a faint one coming on but that is the most i get nothing like i used to apple cider viniger is great for many more things than this i personaly perfer braggs
