Can anyone tell me which professions of alternative medicine are regulated? |
I need to find some info on which professions are regulated, state-by-state, as well as which of them are mandated and covered by insurance companies. Can anyone give me a website or some info. I tried National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) but they had no direct info. Most of what I found related to the UK which I think is not what you were looking for, but I did find this site with quite a comprehensive amount of research if you have the time and patience to go through it http://www.milbank.org/mraltmed.html All health care professions in which a practitioner sees clients for the purpose of mediating a disease or health condition are regulated by each state. If you have to sit for a state exam to be licensed to "practice" you are regulated. |
