Blocked nose?

What alternatives are there to medicine to help unblock your nose? What do you do when you have a blocked nose?

Inhale steam with a little vicks. I have been doing this for ages. A lot of warm fluids like soup, ginger tea also helps.
Sleep on your sides and on a raised pillow. All this will ensure you have a good rest and the blocked nose will clear up.

Nose spray. Works for anyone though it's not that pleasant.

A saline spray or saline rinse might help. You can get a saline rinse kit at the drugstore or buy a bottle of cheap saline spray.

NASAL DECONGESTERS (you know nasal spray)

this may sound silly but it works!! Pinch the top of your nose (right between your eyes,,,its doesnt hurt, but pinch it as hard as you can, i think it clears your sinuses...again this may sound like a joke but it really works.....

ollbas oil, though not entirely sure that the way it is spelt, its either that or olbas oil

cinammon, ginger

not too tasty by themselves
honey, lemon and hot water is also an amazing remedy as well as turmeric with milk or with cereal

A hot shower and blow your nose afterwards.

A few crystals of menthol in some boiling water will clear your nose in seconds. Unfortunately it does not last for very long.

Are you talking about not being able to breath? Keep your nose cleaned out. If it is stuffed up; try using a little dab of Vicks Vapor Rub right under your nose (that little place between your two nostrils. It will open up your nose. One little container of it will last a long time. Buy a very small size. It doesn't take but a little smear of it.
