Can ptosis be corrected without surgery?

I have slight, but noticeable (not obstrucing my vision) ptosis in my left eye caused by a thyroid condition. I recently began taking thyroid medicine which may improve the ptosis. I did some research on the internet and am looking for alternative ways to correct or improve the ptosis.

I have never heard of any. I know that there are many things that cause it, but I do nto know how to fix it without surgery. My mom had surgery and it was really cool. She said that it was easy and she would do it again.

no. only fix is surgery.

there used to be glasses with a "ptosis crutch"...a little metal or plastic bar that physically pushed the eyelid up when you wore them. it doesnt fix the ptosis, but it makes it less apparent. i havent seen any in years.

but the only true fix is surgical correction. sorry. no creams, drugs, exercises, etc

Yes, Lori and the good princeidoc are correct...the only way to take care of ptosis is to have it surgically corrected; unless you wanted to tape it up with surgical tape and walk around like that...
