I was taking percocet for pain,but my doctor stopped giving me prescriptions..What's a good OTC equivalent?

What's a good alternative to Percocet that can be bought over the counter? My doctor has stopped giving me presciptions for it,and lately a few doctors have been getting in trouble for giving it too liberally.Percocet was the ONLY med that worked well for me,I would really like to know if there's an option that I can use that doesn't inovolve the doctor,or using those shady websites that try to lure you into getting a subsrciption in order to buy these medicines. Thanks to your help,my aches and pains may finally go away for awhile..

Aleve works best for a painkiller, I've found. It depends on if you require a painkiller or an anti-inflammatory. Be careful not to take too much Aleve, as it will thin your blood and make you goofy (and not in a pleasant way). Be careful taking too much ibuprofen (the best anti-inflammatory otc), too - it hurts your stomach & liver. Always take whatever you take with food - and never too close to bedtime unless it's specifically formulated for that!

nothing otc is going to do for you what percocet has done... It is very strong.
