Can high bp be cured with out medication? for long term medicines gives side effects like swollen legs?

is there an alternative cure with out medication? or side effects?

Use of medicines in long term have many side effects on your kidnyes and stomach as well. If you wanna keep your BP normal without medicine then
1) Keep yourself happy
2) Love with your pets and children
3) Have morning walk
4) Avoid use of oils, fats, salt, spices etc.
5) Take proper rest and sleep in a silent environment.
6) Leave the work you feel boring one and do that later if necessary
7) Try to develope cool attitudes and ignore what you don't like insteaded of getting yourself depressed.
Your swollen legs may also because of rise of urea and creatinen level in your blood which happens because of malfunctioning of kidneys. So you are also advised to have your KFTs (Kidney functioning tests) and cousult your doctor.

it sort of depends on the person, if its more of a hereditary hypertension it may need medications to be controled, such as HCTZ or lisinopril, which in the long term dont have all that many negative side affects, if somethin like swollen legs does occur, lasix, a water pill, can be taken to help control that, if its not hereditary doing things like increased exercise, dietary control, lifestyle changes can be made to help control it to some extent.

don't know about a cure.... start reading labels.... anything with sodium /salt is your enemy.... it is found in most canned/prepared foods so read labels and choose the lowest sodium content possible
Throw away the salt shaker... don't use garlic SALT or onion SALT... either go with fresh garlic/onions or use the powders.
Especially watch sodas, sports drinks, and vegetable juices. (V-8 is especially high in sodium.)
I minimized my sodium intake and lowered my bp by almost 20 points. (I was a saltaholic tho.)

My doctor always tells me to loose weight, like its that easy. I sometimes think that even weight is heridetary, all my aunts and most of my cousins are big too. As for the swelling, HCTZ works great and is very affordable, but you need an Rx. I am sure your doctor will give you one. As for long term side effects, you can probably expect some kind of liver damage down the road.

i think u should try out YOGA.....it's actually not for a particular ailment but it still works if you do it regularly n religiously....i am sure that yoga can cure ny of your ailments ....believe me it works ....n if you are in india thn you can't get better than this ....n moreover it does not 've ny side effects ....wht u should do is try working out yoga in the mornung hours....n make it a habit even if you feel you are fit n fine ....!!!!!

Ayurveda can cure without any side effect. The duration will not be more than 4 to six months. There are capsules like Rudved/Cardoved/Suved/Slow Gold etc. You will get details in google. Taking Dalchini (cinnamon) powder one pinch with hot water during bed time helps.
