Can hair extentions cause hair fall or alopecia? I've heard that it can... but, so can pulling on your hair, over-combing, or tight braiding. Just be careful with your hair - alopecia from trauma usually occurs when the same hair follicles are under attack repeatedly. So, if your hair falls out and you have a bald spot, that doesn't necessarily mean it won't grow back. Your hair must continually be pulled on (in the exact same spots). Hope this helps. I'm sure any extention would just rip the hair right out of its roots. You scalp needs to breath, hair extensions should cause no problems unless your using a glue. I don't think so.
