Anyone heard of a link between sleep apnea and alopecia areata?

I have sleep apnea and have done excessive research I have several degrees and are 61 years old. While sleep apnea does cause stress on the body, and stress does cause all sorts of bad things to happen many of which have never been fully studied and documented yet ... I know that stress in some studies has caused hair loss but it is not documented that it causes or has a relationship with the disease of alopecia! So it can cause some of the symptoms but not the disease as such!

The real answer to your question is " NO there really is none at this time!"
