Is there anything that can be done about alopecia?..serious answers only?

areata alopecia

You seem to be a female and ladies do suffer from a spate of falling hair, especially after delivery and during the phase of rearing the child. These are the periods of great anxiety and tension and result in increased falling of hair. Likewise, any traumatic phase of life or depression will also cause increased falling of hair (and not to be confused with allopecia). Since there are normally four phases of hair growth, the last phase of growth (or its termination) generally coincides with the periods of added stress that brings forth many patients complaining of falling of hair. The best part is that the growth phase is cyclical and THEREFORE the only thing that can follow in the cycle is the recovery and stoppage of the falling of hair and thereafter the regrowth of the hair. Therefore cheer up.

Avoidance of tension and recouping lost iron and other multivitamins during delivery and breast feeding is the answer.

One cause can be hormones including birth control pills. It's rare, but doctors don't seem to be aware of it at all. At least they weren't when my lover had that problem. When she stopped bc pills it began clearing up in a week or so.
