In your opinion, and based on your knowledge, which type of alcohol is most in accordance with good health?

Carbohydrates in alcohol (beer, at least) have been found to have supplementary effects in an exercise program. Red wine is considered a moderate source of antioxidants. Arguments are constantly made for the healthy properties of every type of alcohol- in exception of whiskey. In your opinion, and based on your knowledge of human physiology, what is the healthiest source of alcohol available? Alternatively, or additionally, what is the healthiest method of consumption?

Red wine drank with a sensible well balanced meal top all the charts.

red wine all the way..its good for you and tastes good.

red red wine. a glass a day!

Yup, red wine is good for your heart! Get sloppy and get healthy at the same time, what's not to love :)

Bloody Mary's or a Red Beer

just to be safe, only have one glass a day (of each)

red wine is good for you 1 or 2 glasses a night. beer is also good, its made of wheat hops and barly. also good for you.
1 or 2 a night.

I've always heard red wine is best. It's supposed to help with bad cholesterol, and be good for us as long as it is not abused.

red wine

I always heard red wine is good for your heart, this may really be an issue for the elderly though.

Red wine is the healthiest. Beer gives vitamins and sustainable carbs. Alcohol should be avoided in a health regime.

Red wine...but like everything, drink it in moderation.

It has numerous benefits from improving heart health to lowering cholesterol. It's even shown some benefits towards fighting cancer and coronary issues.

I think its different for everyone.

For example, if you are allergic or intolerant of the grain from which an alcohol is made, then you might decide not to have that alcohol.

I think you need to do anything in moderation.

I heard it was red wine, my mom is a cardiologist and she mentions that occasionally in her speeches.

Red wine is 'supposed' to be the healthiest.

But not a glass a day - don't do that.

Just every now and then is fine.

Don't forget, it's still alcohol, let' not become drunkos here.

Thanks.

well, a glass red wine taken with small consumptions of food with it is good for health.

Preferably red wine with food, @ in moderation. A small whiskey before meals can also be beneficial , as it helps to stop blood clots, but again also in moderation. Beer will only give u a good feeling with ur mates but u will end up with a beer gut!

Maybe Chinese alcohol... I've heard that ginseng wine is supposed to be very good for your health.
