Exercising - how to keep the motivation up? |
I have been going to the gym since February this year, although had a couple of months in May / June where, due to lots of stressfull stuff going on at home, I stopped going. Since July I have been going very regularly and do enjoy going and know that its doing me good. Good question! You will most definitely start to lose weight. Just persevere and keep up the good work. Sometimes we put on more muscle and the scales don't move down because muscle weighs more than fat. Just keep on persevering and you are doing something GREAT for your heart. You could alternate what exercises you do but as long as you're doing it atleast 4 times a week you will see results. Bell has the right answer, because Im going through exactly the same as you. The only way to loose weight is to strave yourself and run your heart out. Which ofcourse is not healthy. Rather put on mass in muscles which burns the fat. You also wont loose size because muscles are taking its place. Once you feel strong enough, focus more on burning energy with more cardio. Work harder not faster. are you sure your not losing fat? cause you said you lift and do cardio, like me and i gain muscle and lose some stubborn body fat so my weight has been around 156-158 for about 2 months now, but i diet and eat clean. Start your diet, dont go crazy with calories, eat high protein, get all your carbs from good sources like oatmeal, whole grains, and vegetables. and you, like me will see results within the first 2 weeks. good luck |
