Blood in stool follow-up (uneasy stomach now)?

A few weeks ago, I posted a question about blood in stool. That problem has now sufficed, which is good news. My guess is that I just had a slight tear thanks to alcohol consumption.

The bad news is that I've had an uneasy stomach recently, and I'm not sure if this is a result of the previous problem, or I'm just getting sick. But it's now slightly harder to pass the stool, or maybe I'm just worried about seeing blood again, so I refuse to strain myself.

I now find myself heading to the bathroom every day, or so, but not really having to go when I get there. Usually, I only make the trip a max of twice per week.

Is there any sort of home treatment that I can do, or just wait it out? I've only been drinking a good amount of water daily ever since it first happened.

Thanks.

eat lots of raw fruit and whole grains and drink at least 80 ounces of water a day

I don't believe you are going to find a lot of Doctors here. That's what you need. Your problem may be simple and nothing to worry over. On the other hand you may have a serious problem.

Blood in the stool can be a sign of colorectal cancer, hemmerhoids, anal fistula, etc

SEE A DOCTOR! This is too serious to self-medicate.

Oh, and if you have a problem with a man examining your rectum (I've known guys with this very dumb hangup) -- don't. The man is a doctor not a pervert. His aim is to help you get better.

If you are having difficulty doing a bowel movement, try drinking or eating foods that are natural laxatives. Grape juice, prunes, prune juice, or foods with lots of fiber.
Try it for a couple days then stop and see if that will set things in motion. If you are still having trouble, talk to you doctor and get some advice. Keep yourself hydrated too.

Twice a week?! I usually go once a day! Then again, people work in different ways. Bowel movements usually range from three times a day to three times a week. It depends on the person.

more often than not blood is caused by hemmorhoids especially if it is red.

But I'd visit a doctor if I were you.

it could be piles or ulcer, its best if you go yo doctor and have it checked
