Help! A family member is anorexic and she needs help.....? |
My cousin, who is like my sister, has battled with anorexica most of her young adult life through her present adulthood. As with anything, like alcohol or drug abuse, any eating disorder will always be with you, even when you are on top of it. I just saw her today for the first time in a year and this is the smallest she has ever been....I don't want her to die, but she gets very upset and changes the subject when you broach it with you and pushes you away. I don't want her to die, I want to help, but I am so lost as to how to approach this.......Please help!!! get her help when in doubt, strongly try to convince her an d her parents to get her admitted, she needs to be hospitilized she needs to be put on a special diet to get her weigght back up, pscychological counseling and nutritional counceling to dont let it get out of control, She needs professinal help thats where any type of healing starts there is nothing more that you can do except help her seek proffessional advice.good luck, also perhaps you sister might be able to help her. You have to tell someone this and get help! suggestion : getting her to see a psychiatrist |
