How do plugged items, such as dvd player, computer, hair dryer, etc, contribute to air pollution? The energy used to power the objects comes from energy plants burning coal. The coal being burnt creates emissions that pollute the atmosphere. So basically, it indirectly pollutes the air. It takes coal, natural gas, or oil to produce most of our electricity. All of these fuels are sources of polution.. |
