What is in the air? In cold (-0) sunny weather I get allergy attacks in my eyes. They burn and tear up.? |
All of a sudden one eye or rarely both start to sting and burn and water. This lasts from a few minutes to over an hour (last night). i live in the country so not air pollution, I immediately wash my face and use saline drops to wash what ever it is out. If I can stay home I take benedryl but it knocks me out for hours. This started over 30 years and has only happened a few times most every year since but this year I have had 5 attacks in 2 weeks. It is uncomfortable not to be able to see and painful too. Any ideas what the irritant could be. Thanks but I already eat nearly completely organic and it happens in the house or outside no difference. Sounds like Chronic Dry Eye Syndrome. Mine are like that in the winter. The climate is changing and there are more pollutants in the air, unimaginable. Ask your doctor to test your eyes and see if they are sensitive to sunlight. a) smoke from chimneys ? Your eyes can't handle the cold. I have that problem too. |
