Lung cancer #2 killer of U.S. women? Smoking rates very low-air fresheners, scented candles....?

I can't believe that lung cancer is the #2 killer of women here in the U.S. Second only to heart disease, which is understandable when you look at eating habits, weight, lack of exercise...but lung cancer when the total adult percentage is only 22%? I had seen on British news almost 2 yrs. ago that France has banned air fresheners (cans), plug-ins and the like because they found that prolonged exposure to these chemicals causes lung cancer. I know we have alot of pollution here along with God-knows-what in our food/water, but do you think the french know something we don't? Has the FDA looked into this? Dana Reeves along with countless others have died of lung cancer w/o ever smoking. Are there any theories out there? I really don't like giving kudos to the french, but I use these "smell good" products in my house daily and I believe that women, working outside the home or not, still spend more time in their homes than men do.....

thats a good question... my sister died of lung cancer last year and never smoked a day in her life. she was only 39 yrs old. i often wonder how she got lung cancer, but i dont think she used alot of candles or anything, maybe the air freshner though.
