Does humidity help clear up acne prone skin?

My skin is usually dry and prone to breakouts, but when I was in Northern England for 2 months it was completely clear. I didn't even have to wash it at night and I never broke out. I am wondering if this was because all the moisture in the air or lack of pollution. I now live in a desert climate and am back to the breakouts. Just curious what I could do to clear my skin without all the expensive facial cleansers out there. Humidifier?

I've lived in Houston, TX my whole life, which is very humid, but it does not help with breakouts. The problem with the desert could be the dirt.

The best thing to do would be to change your face wash. I use Neurtogena.

If all else fails, I would suggest a dermatologist. One of my friends has been (badly) broken out for years. Now that she goes to a dermatologist, her skin is close to perfect. The only thing is I don't know how much it would cost. Good luck!
