I'm a female of 16 years of age and i have Genital herpes?

Will i always have genital herpes,
will i still be able to have children

Sorry to say that currently there is no treatment that totally gets rid of genital herpes. But yes you may still have children, but you will have to have a C section or it could effect your child during birth

Yes, herpes lasts a lifetime. You will be able to have children but it raises the likelihood that you may have a c-section. Reason why is these breakouts are generally accompanied by having a low immune system and excess stress. These issues may be present at childbirth. If you happen to have a breakout during labor the doc will have you do a c-section for the safety of the baby. Through the yrs the breakouts will be less painful.

In order to minimize breakouts, like when you feel one coming you should take 1 lysine, 1000 mg of Vitamin C, 1000 mg of Vitamin E. Also, avoid foods with aganine (sp.) and eat lots of leafy green veggies.

It's so unfortunate that this a- hole guy who gave it to you has far reaching effects into your life.

I have had it for twenty years. It can be a real drag. You can see your doctor, he may prescribe a maintenance dose of an antiviral drug. It should minimize outbreaks.
I really feel for you, I hate it, with that said the meds work great, I rarely have an outbreak and it rarely lasts more than a couple of days.
Some doctors say the virus "burns itself out", which means it is possible for the outbreaks cease or become rare.
Be aware even if you have no symptoms you can still pass this on, so be careful.
You can still have babies. My wife had two.
