Why do you think that kids in the age of 14, start becoming anarexics and start cutting themselfs.. etc.? |
i really need to know this because a lot of people in mi school are doing this.. peer pressure, media, family, inability to cope with problems. lots of people your age go through this. they have no outlet for anger or frustration and see these alternatives as their release. a very big component of this is peer pressure. they want or need to fit in somewhere they feel like they belong. alienation from parents or authoritative figures. it's a whole mix of things but it boils down to there situation and their own personal dilemmas. its all a scream for attention Because the parents aren't teaching them right. They aren't even teaching them good spelling. Low self esteem, the need for attention, the feeling of not being understood, parents that don't love them..the reasons could go on for miles. THe onset of puberty! peer pressure, sucky family life, attention-hungry...there could be a lot of reasons. Their parents don't pay any attention to them. to get attention....most of them are lonely. and they feel rejected by family or peer pressure. Peer pressure + bad parenting skills + (possible) one deadbeat parent + addiction + curiosity + Paris Hilton + movies glorifying it= anorexic cutters. because right now it seems to be a trend. people want to be cool so they do it. sounds lame but hey look it all the preepy people on myspace. damn i hate that site. |
