Agent Orange poisoning and my son? |
My Father-n-law was exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam. My husband was born with spina-bifida, and was told by his college professor that he has a learning disability. We have a 7yr old son who has been struggling in school. We have had him tested and have been told that he had ADHD and is dislexic. Does anyone know if there have been any studies linking agent orange to problems in the grandchildren of exposed veterans? i am in the medical profession (though i am not a doctor) and have seen alot of similarities in my son and my husbands disabilities (except for the spina bifida, my son has no physical problems) and i believe that it is due to the agent orange. If my father-n-law was exposed, it is in his genes, blood DNA. Then my husband was born and suffered effects, it is in his blood, gene, DNA, common sense says that it would be passed on to my son. Part of the problem is that the US government still denies association with agent orange. I would start here, on the Veteran's Affairs AO website: Go to your local Vietnam Veterans Association I have actually looked on this topic before, but the goverment only acknowledges the children not the grandchildren which is actually a shame. My father in law was in vietnam and was exposed and he married a vietnamese woman. Even though my husband has no problems my daughter was born with spina bifida mylomenginlocyle. Good luck to you and your family. Heres a link from the spina bifida assocaiton http://www.sbaa.org/site/c.gpILKXOEJqG/b... |
