Children of Vietnam Veterans exposed to Agent Orange, Are You Sick?

My sisters and I all have odd ailments for are ages, that are not hereditary. We believe it is from the passing of the Agent Orange Dioxide from our Father.

Do you have any ailments you can't explain?

I am the son of a Vietnam Veteran, and had feared that I may inherit my father's numerous health issues. He suffers from exposure to dioxin and DDT during his tour in 1964-1965. I am fortunate to have perfect health and have no trace of inherited illnesses. You need to hear about my findings during my recent visit to Vietnam.

I just returned from a lengthy trip in Vietnam (2 1/2 months). During my stay, I visited the Vietnam Friendship Village just outside of Hanoi where they have a facility and programs to help children who suffer from dioxin poisoning. What I learned there will shock you.

Most all the children there are 18 years or younger. That in mind, few of them had direct exposure to dioxin with exception of those who had lived in areas still contaminated after the war. Most of the children inherited their health issues from their father and grandfathers who were directly exposed. In some cases, the health issue jumped a generation and infected the grandchildren instead of the children of those directly exposed.

The children suffer a variety of health issues with the most common being neurological disorders. The majority of the children suffer from mental retardation in varying degrees. There were also numerous children with physical disorders, such as retarded muscle and limb growth. One family had three children born without eyes. One child was born without ears.

There is no (revealed) clinical evidence that links human health issues to dioxin, but there is plenty of circumstantial evidence that clearly indicates otherwise. The U.S. Government continues to deny any link of strange health issues to dioxin exposure, and it is doubtful that will change anytime soon. Perhaps something that you could be grateful is the limited exposure that your father may have had.

Most all American Veterans were exposed to dioxin for no more than a year. Many Vietnamese had years and even decades of exposure by living in areas that were contaminated. It was easy for me to see that prolonged exposure to dioxin causes more severe health issues. I know many Vietnam Veterans with possible Dixon health issues and their problems are closer to having a bad cold compared to some of the children I had seen at the Vietnam Friendship Village.

If you want to know more about dioxin health issues then don't bother with American resources. You need to go to Vietnam to find the real truth. For a start, here's a link to the Vietnam Friendship Village:
